OUR STORY
Rockport Hutterite Colony near Pendroy, Montana, was founded in 1948
Life in Montana’s Hutterite Colonies
Scattered across Montana’s wide-open prairies, Hutterite colonies are home to families who live and work together, sharing everything from daily chores to meals and worship. Life here is centered around faith, community, and hard, honest work.
These colonies are close-knit, grounded in tradition, and deeply connected to the land. Each day starts early—tending gardens, gathering eggs, baking bread, fixing equipment, or caring for livestock. Everyone has a role, and everything is done with care and purpose.
Hutterite communities are known for growing high-quality produce, raising healthy animals, and making things from scratch—whether it’s a fresh loaf of bread, a jar of pickles, or a handcrafted piece of furniture. It’s a way of life built on helping each other and doing good work, quietly and consistently.
In a fast-paced world, life in the colony may feel simple—but it’s full of meaning. It’s about working with your hands, honoring tradition, and living in a way that puts people and purpose first.

ABOUT ROCKPORT COLONY PRODUCE
From Our Colony to Your Table
We’re not fancy folks—just thankful ones, blessed to live close to the land and close to each other. Everything we grow, gather, bake, or bottle is done with care, tradition, and a steady pair of hands.
Our home-canned goods are simple and honest—pickles, corn, salsa, and more—made in small batches using family recipes that have been passed down through generations. No shortcuts, just real food sealed up for the season.
Out in the garden, we work hard to raise a variety of fresh vegetables, harvested when they’re at their best. Whether it's tender lettuce in spring or sweet corn in late summer, we bring the bounty straight from the soil to the market.
Our honey is raw and pure—gathered from local hives and put in containers just as the bees left it. Sweet, golden, and untouched.
And when it comes to baking, our breads, rolls, and pies are as close to homemade as it gets. Made from scratch, baked fresh, and meant to be shared—just like everything else we do.
We’re grateful for the chance to offer what we have. From our hands to yours, thank you for supporting our way of life.
